At the end of September 2025, as part of the Plan Padrino (Sponsorship program), the FOUNDATION made an advance purchase of 3,000 free-range eggs from local producers in the area, Alejandro and Ana María, with the aim of optimizing their production conditions, particularly by improving their chicken coop.
This initiative also benefited the 25 families that are members of the Foundation, for six months, from October 2025 to March 2026, they will receive a tray of 20 eggs each month. This project exemplifies collaborative work and promotes community unity and solidarity.

On June 7, 2025, the Foundation's team of volunteers, led by our volunteer Laura Becerra, a physical therapist, conducted a height and weight assessment of the children accompanied by their guardians as part of the Plan Padrino (Sponsorship program). A tape measure and a scale were used to determine the height and weight of each child. Body mass index (BMI) was calculated using the formula: BMI = Weight (kg) / Height (m²), dividing weight in kilograms by the square of height in meters.
The assessment included 31 children from the Matías Panatta Foundation, aged between 2 and 15 years. The results showed that 58% were of normal weight, 39% were underweight, and 3% were obese.
Given the number of underweight children, we encouraged parents to take their children to the doctor for an evaluation and professional advice. We also monitored the underweight children and promoted healthy eating habits among children in general, and we saw a way to achieve this through these egg trays.
